5.0 out of 5 stars Gone fishing
13 October 2019 Format: Kindle Edition
I wouldn't call this dark more like black, the saying go big or go home comes to mind, Roz felt robbed and now payback was here, this held me in a vice I felt so drawn to the story at the same time thinking no, no, no, well worth the read darker then this author usually writes.

OMG - I'll let you all in on a little secret ... When LICK OF DARKNESS was finished and waiting to become live on Amazon (as well as all the other platforms), I honestly didn't know if it was going to be received very well ... I'd written something totally out of my comfort zone that was initiated by another author (Michael Gagain) daring me to try something different with a short story. Well, the short story has turned into quite a long book, and I couldn't be any happier about the reviews that are beginning to come in. THANK YOU to all of you who have left reviews so far. They mean the world to me.
5.0 out of 5 stars A world in which pleasure is entwined with pain
October 14, 2019 Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
Carol Delmornay has painted a world in which pleasure is entwined with pain. Where victims learn their place and act accordingly. Our Mistress has needs. Sex is power and power is sex and we are carried along as each is explored. If you like to entertain visions of being with a beautiful woman that has learned the art of domination, this book is for you. What begins as revenge, rightly or wrongly, becomes a habit. Her willing subjects are easily found and persuaded to follow her wherever she leads. And so they enter her dungeon with dreams only to have them turn into nightmares. But not before losing themselves to their own mix of pleasure. They learn their priorities are not what even they had thought, as they go beyond their own boundaries. I recommend Lick of darkness for those who enjoy a certain type of lifestyle. In the words of the Crystals, a 1962 release, He hit me, (And it felt like a kiss) is somehow appropriate for this well written, look into the darkness that Delmornay points out, and very well may lurk in all of us. What would you do to spend a day in the arms of a beautiful sexy woman? Step into Mistress Hellion’s dungeon to find out.
