Working Title: The Dom's Invitation Release Date: 2020 EXCERPT: (unedited) After I made sure the house was locked up, I walked with Tanner back to his house. Dungeon. Not really sure how I felt about that word. The very first reaction was what the fuck? and then I let fear slowly creep in. That’s what that word incites inside me. Then, I think about what I experienced in there, although I didn’t know that’s where I was at the time because I had a very thick blindfold on. Oh, God. Even now, just recalling what he did to me has made me wet, I can feel it. Of course, it doesn’t help that he smells so damned good. Suddenly, I had to swallow to clear my mouth of an influx of saliva. “I’ve phoned Hannah and reserved a table for six thirty this evening, so I’ll pick you up at six again?” “Okay.” We walked a little further in silence. I was nervous about going down into his dungeon. I know he said it was just to point to things to find out what they are and how they’re used, but dungeon? That word rattled me. “Not very talkative this afternoon, are you, Sienna?” Tanner frowned down at me. Then I felt my face heating. “In integral part of any relationship is being open with each other.” Relationship? Is that what he’s calling this? “I can see the amazement on your face, Sienna. Yes. I used the word ‘relationship’. Isn’t that what you would call it? After all, we did go about things ass about face.” I couldn’t help it. I burst out laughing. “Ass about face?” I giggled. “Yes,” he chuckled. “It means the wrong way around.” “Oh,” I sighed while trying to stop another giggle. “I suppose things were ass about face, then,” I agreed, feeling my face heat. Being so intimate on the first meeting was certainly ass about face. “Why are you so hesitant about going down into my dungeon?” Tanner asked and I couldn’t help the slight flinch when he used that word. “I’ve already said I will answer any questions, and that you needn’t worry about you being used on any of the equipment.” I didn’t answer. He can assure me until the cows come home; the word ‘dungeon’ just sounds medieval and puts the fear of God into me. So, I chewed indecisively on my bottom lip. Tanner stopped, put his hand around my upper arm and halted me. “There is nothing to be afraid of, Sienna. There are things I need in a relationship. And if you want one with me, you need to be aware of what those things are. I’m a very sexual being, and I enjoy sex, I enjoy women, and I really enjoy what I can do to a woman’s body. Which is why, at times, it isn’t just about sex for me. I’ve also told you that, given the chance, I will fuck you every which way possible, and twice on Sunday’s,” he smirked, and my face heated like a flame was held to my flesh. “I don’t expect you to make a decision … any decision … any time soon. There are other things that I had planned on showing you, but I wanted to get into that over dinner.” Tanner leaned down, levelling his eyes with mine. “You have nothing to worry about. Okay?” “Uh-huh,” I eventually nodded. “From this point forward, I’ll refer to the room as my playroom. I can sense you have a problem with the ‘D’ word,” he chuckled, and my face exploded with embarrassment. “How did you …” “Pretty obvious,” he said, sliding his hand down to take mine as he straightened. “Your body flinched every time I mentioned it.” With him holding my hand, he pulled gently on my arm as he began walking the remainder of the distance to his house. © Copyright Carol Delmornay 2019.
