What a difference a day makes. Yesterday, the sunrise was beautiful. Today, it was bleak. Supposed to finally get some rain, but whether it actually does remains to be seen.

Had to travel 140 kilometres (round trip) to get my flu injection today. Made the trip on Tuesday to do that, but they didn't have any vaccine left, even after I made the appointment a week in advance! So, I had to make the trip twice. Arm is a bit sore.

We've finally planted all our fruit trees; lemons, apricots, mandarins, peaches, oranges, and pineapple guava. With 4 types of grapes in the back yard. Planting anything where we live is a mission. The ground is made up of mostly rock, with some red dirt, so anytime anything gets planted it takes digging and rock breaking to do it. You should have seen how long it took us to dig out the ground in the back yard to install a pool! Hired a big-assed jackhammer to do most of that! And, because of the rocky ground, we have to get blended soil to put in before planting - so, while hubby and I had to travel to the next town to get the damned flu jab, we got a trailer load of soil. We have our own mulching machine, so anytime anything gets trimmed, it gets put through the mulcher (wood chipper? I think that's what you in the US call them). We have large garden bags filled with mulch for anything like that, so the newly cut out garden for the fruit trees is now already mulched, too.

Time for me to do some more writing. Hope everyone enjoys your day, or night.
