Good morning from the beautiful but cold Goldfields of Western Australia.

Went for a walk today at first light - before the sun rises from the horizon. So peaceful at that time of the morning - just around the east part of town, though, not up the hill. Hope you enjoy the photos. Expecting some rain later today and tomorrow. Can see the clouds beginning to roll in.

Managed to get the first edit done on the manuscript that was being done, and sent it off to the author to go through before it comes back for the second round. Now, just have to work on a cover for it.

I'm also going to be working on a children's book. Yep - shock, horror - going to try (try being the operative word here...) to write one for my little grandson for his second birthday. So far, only one image has been done. Laike will be going on lots of adventures to learn about his animal friends. Will post the image - let me know what you think of Laike with Pope Polar Bear. It just needs a little bit of a tweak before it's set in stone, so to speak, and ready for the book - will have to do the book myself due to the photos. Maybe if it turns out good enough, some more could be done - personalizing it to whoever would like to buy one, of course.

Also got permission to post a photo of our other grandson, along with his mum and dad. Let me introduce them all to you. Natalie - daughter/step-daughter, Richard - son-in-law, and Christopher - grandson. Will be staying with them for the weekend when traveling to the city for Laike's second birthday in September, so watch this space - there will probably be a heap of photos posted upon my return.

Have to get moving on the cover for this new book. Then finish off the image for Laike's book. Hope you all have a wonderful morning, afternoon, evening, or night. Take care and stay safe.
